KSAO #1.  Passport and citizenship laws, regulations and procedures.

My career within the United States Department of State spans more than 38 years of experience and extensive knowledge in the interpretation of citizenship laws, court decisions, and passport regulations and procedures which requires; strong analytical ability; skill in conflict resolution and; the ability to manage an automation and production operation involving electronically processing, retrieving and archiving records.  Let there be no doubt, I collaborate at all organizational levels to implement stringent, complex and sometimes vague regulatory policy and directives that are designed to improve organizational effectiveness resulting in enhanced operational efficiency.

In fact, I specialize in the provision of a full range of passport and citizenship administrative/operational functions and have developed throughout the years a proven track record and a history of success in the following assignments and positions:

·         Acting Branch Chief - 3 months

·         Clearance Passport Specialist - 3 years

·         Passport Specialist, Correspondence Branch - 13 years

·         Assistant to the Supervisor of Regular Adjudication/Passport Examiner - 10 Years

From the beginning, each and every assignment required that I demonstrate no less than expert knowledge of both passport and citizenship laws, regulations and procedures.  As both a decision maker (Acting Chief) and Passport Specialist, I have utilized my proven knowledge of the laws and expertise to travel to resolve/aid lagging operations on a global platform; participate in the development of state-of-the-art internal control procedures; and oversee the implementation of a diverse myriad of passport administrative programs and services which included the following:

Special Projects and Temporary Assignments:
