I sold two packages to two clients seven (7) years ago - pay attention to the blue and red colors of each client as blue is calming and red is hostile!
Client #1: Was a Federal Contractor and his mentors/friends told him to just get his foot in the door
Client #1: Was apprehensive, but listened to everything that I said and believed in me as he listened to my passion and felt my heart! He put the money on the table after speaking with his wife - of course!
Client #2: Was apprehensive, but listened and then stated - I do not have that type of money. You charge too much. Give me a Federal Resume only and I can do it myself! Client #2 spent $450.00
Client #1: Was a appreciative of my work. He was a team player and joy to work with. His KSAs were HOT! We had fun. He trusted me!
Client #2: Even though he stated several times that I was the professional/expert; was hostile, questioned my track record; fought about everything and every word in the product; then became the expert stating that he could have done what I did himself. It was a very disappointing experience for both of us to say the least.
Client #1: Wife called me three (3) months later and I was thinking "I am in trouble" - she said "Mr. Bogard - I Love You!" "We got the job!" "He is now a GS-13!" " They loved his KSAs; interviewed and hired him on the spot"
Client #2: Keeps calling annually asking for his passwords so that he can apply for more Federal jobs, all while telling me that my work was not good and that he has never gotten a job interview and that he wasted his money. REMEMBER: He wrote his own KSAs - not me!
Client #1: Will be glad to speak with you! After 6 years, was detailed to a GS-14 position and decided to apply for that position. He started to convert his resume to the Resumix system himself, but then remembered that he should "go with who brought him to the dance!" I was called and asked when does it close and his response was "In the morning as I am packing for a cruise to Alaska." I gave him an emergency price and he gave me a credit card. After his return, two weeks later he called to say thanks. He got the Job. Months later, he was again detailed to a GS-15 and applied for another job. I was informed that he made the list and was referred as a candidate for hire. Am am now preparing his SES Package (ECQ/Resume). I am also preparing his wife's package.
Client #2: Called within the last two (2) months (Spring 2007) and now admits that it is not as easy as he thought it would be or was. He admitted that he should have listened to me years ago and that he is currently no further along than he was seven (7) years ago! Some people have to learn for themselves. He should at least be a GS-13/15 today!
In summary the moral of the story is: Never prepare your own package! If you do, rest assured that my client's product will be at least 100%-200% better than yours or any work of any other resume service! You may get an interview or even a job, but you will never know what you really missed out on because you never put your best product on the table.
Client #2: Spent $450.00 and has nothing to show for it, but a professional resume. He opted to complete the process himself (KSAs, etc...)
Client #1: Spent $1,500.00 plus initially (seven years ago) for two jobs; $750 to GS-14 (emergency service); $2,500.00 for his most important promotions of all. He has been referred for GS-15; plus is receiving a packet for his spouse and his SES package is in progress.
NOTE: My client will soon make well over $100,000 and my job with him is almost done! Now I will help his spouse. Trust and team spirit will always prevail! By the way, do not doubt for one second that he is our only success story! Just ask for referrals or click/read our testimonials. If you do not believe me - just ask them!
